LaTonya Denise Adamson was born on December 16,1971 to Edna Mason and John Adamson |||. She departed this life on June 19, 2021. Tonya attended Austin East High School. Her loving and caring spirit lead her into the medical profession. Tonya was currently a Caregiver with Preferred Care.
She is preceded in death by Her Father, Reginald Mason, Grandfathers Ervin Mason and John Adamson Jr.,. Grandmothers; Hattie Turk and Helen Seaborn. Several Uncles and Cousins.
She lives to Cherish and continue her loving spirit: Mother Edna Mason. Father John Adamson III. Her loving children who she cherished: Robert (Britnie) Upshaw Jr., LaTerria Mack and Chico (Kinsley) Chigano IV. Grandchildren who Adored her: R'riah, Hayden, Brooklyn, Malaysia, Zakhi, Chyna, Ray'id and Kapri.
Brothers: David Turk and John Adamson IV
Sister and Best Friend Stephanie Mason. Sister Trinette Adamson and Tina(Larry) Wright.
Nieces who she loved as her own: Shanique (Jamar) Stacy, Chinaya Mason, DeNaizah Smith, Imani Hall, and Parys Adamson.
Great Niece: Jamara Stacy
Uncles: Kenneth Turk (AZ), Gary, Eddie, and John Adamson.
Aunts: Debra Watson, Wilma Thomas, Patricia (Jack) Chesney, Sheryl Turk
Devoted Cousins: Aretha,Dee Dee, Kay Kay, Anthony, Tasha and Shawn.
Devoted Friend of 35 years Reico Hopewell.
Friends: Marita Robinson, Mary Goins, Brandie (Jock) Knuckles,Genia, Dee Dee Smith. Several other Cousins and Friends too numerous to name but loved nonetheless.
The family will receive Friends on Sunday June 27, 2021 from 3:00-3:30 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 3:30 at the Unity Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Daryl Arnold officiating. A white dove release will conclude at the Mortuary immediately following the Celebration.
Ms. Adamson will lie-in-repose on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.

My prayers to the family. Know that everytime you cry, you have prayer warriors asking God to give you strength. LaTonya was my mother's nurse. My mom loved LaTonya. They laughed alot together. My family and I truly became close to LaTonya. I hope she knew how much she was loved and appreciated. She will b sadly missed. Keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers.
