Lila Cox Johnson
Lila Cox Johnson, age 102, transitioned peacefully into eternal life on October 14, 2024, in Knoxville, Tennessee under the care of Smoky Mountain Hospice services. Lila was born November 11, 1922, to William and Jeanette Cox in Dandridge, Tennessee. Lila was an accomplished licensed beautician and entrepreneur along with her husband until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson, her daughter, Lila Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her memory; three children: William Robert (Mildred), David Harris, and Raymond Anthony (Dessie)Johnson; four grandchildren and a supporting cast of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 1-1:30 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:30 p.m. at Wallace Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church, 5103 Homberg Dr., Knoxville ,TN 37919 with Rev. A. D. Baxter officiating and Rev. Alvin Gwathney Pastor and Eulogist.

Mrs. Lila was my grandmother's friend and became my mommas friend. They had great talks all the way to the end. She was a special lady. She will be missed.
