Lillian Mae Glass-Wheeler

Lillian Mae Glass-Wheeler was born April 9, 1943 in Viane, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully in her Knoxville, TN home on May 7, 2021; she was 78 years old. Lillian was the beloved daughter of Walter Glass and Mary Higgins. After graduating high school, Lillian moved to Kansas City, Missouri to live with her aunt Bessie Wright before relocating to Tennessee. Lillian worked for 15 years at General Telephone Company. She was a vibrant woman full of love. She is survived by her loving children James Wheeler and Kimberly (John Jr.) Howell, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel where Pastor J. Ellis McCleary will officiate and render words of comfort. The final resting place will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the service. Mrs. Wheeler will lie in repose on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Unity Mortuary Chapel from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Unity Mortuary is honored to serve this family.
