Obituary For Lisa A. Gainey

Lisa A. Gainey: Friday, July 30, 1965 – Monday, July 20, 2026 (age 60)

Lisa A. Gainey was united in marriage to James Ronald “Ronnie” Gilbreath and was a long and celebrated professional hair stylist for over 30+ years in Midland, Texas and in Knoxville, Tennessee. She also provided volunteer services to The Love Kitchen in which she was very faithful to. She was also passionate about her service as a faithful usher at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville. Her hobbies were BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS, watching daytime dramas as The Bold and The Beautiful and Beyond the Gates; movies as The Car and The Terminator; TV as The Lone Ranger, The Rifleman, Half & Half, Girlfriends, The Parkers. She also liked dressing up and being a beautiful and sweet loving soul…
also, the most important; being a wonderful mother to Chris and Krystle as well as being a great aunt, cousin, friend and one who stood in for others. Lisa was the second baby girl born from the union of Paul and Nancy Gainey in Wadesboro, North Carolina. She attended elementary school in Charlotte, North Carolina and then the family moved to Midland, Texas where she attended junior high school at Alamo Junior High and attended and graduated from Midland High School in May of 1983.

To cherish her memories, she leaves a son, Christopher Gainey and a daughter, Krystle Gainey. She also leaves her mother, Nancy Gainey; two brothers, Paul T. Gainey, Jr. and Steven E. Gainey; two sisters, Francine Gainey and Nancy N. Gainey. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Paul T. Gainey Sr. in March 1990; Two nieces, Francine L. White in January 1997 and LaToya Taylor in December 2018, and a baby brother, Maurice T. Gainey in May of 2015. “She is Gone”

eyes and see all that she has left. Your heart can be full of love that you shared. You can turn back on tomorrow and live in yesterday…or you can be happy for tomorrow, because of yesterday. You can cherish her memory and let it live on or you can do what she would want; smile, open your eyes, LOVE and GO ON!”

The Gainey Family

The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 5, 2026 from 11-12:00 with the Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 noon at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where Rev. Dr. Jason Mosely is the Pastor and officiant.

The final resting place will be at the Mt.Olive Cemetery immediately following the service.

I'm so sorry to hear about Lisa she was my hair dresser for a few years I could talk to her about anything and I could make h r laugh at things about my children, I didn't have to tell how to fix my hair she knew how I liked it. I'm really going to miss her and God gained an angel. Joyce Stinnett
