Obituary For Mark Steven Smith
Mark Steven Smith, age 65, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Mark was born July 3, 1959 to his loving parents, Herman T. and Bernice George Smith, Sr. in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Mark was a member of the Cherry Street Church of God and a graduate of Austin East High School class of 1977.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman T. and Bernice George Smith, Sr., brother, Melvin E. Smith, and nephew, Derek Smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Markesha T. Smith, loving and devoted sister, Lenniece A. Smith, brother, Herman T. (Estelle) Jr. niece April Smith, 7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and a host of loving nieces, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life service to begin 1:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
The final resting place will be held at the Mount Olive Cemetery immediately following service. A dove release will conclude in his honor.
