Martha (Cookie) Davis-Jack was born October 22,1943 in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life on August 21, 2024.
She is preceded by her parents Nancy Rose Mullins and Calvin Fortson, former devoted husband and friend Johnny M. Jack Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Sons: Vennis (Lisa) Macon, Andjuan (Jeanette) Macon, and Daughter: Vilima Andrena Macon. Grandchildren: Rodney J. Reese, Andjuan M. Macon Jr. , Daveyon R. Macon, Kadarius J. Macon, Sakeita Matthews, Trinity W. Gillette, Kadaerius L. Gillette, Jakobie E. Matthews, and Javonte Howell; Great grandchildren: Nigel M. Lopez-Macon and Ace A. Macon; Sister: Rita Fortson; Nephews: Jeffery and Jonathan Fortson Great nephew: Elijah Fortson; Aunt:Eugenia Strong.
The receiving of friends will be on Thursday, August, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm with the celebration of life service to begin at 12:00pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 1601 Dandridge Ave. Knoxville, TN 37915 where the Reverend Jesse L. Williams Sr. will be officiating.
The final rest place will be held at Greenwood cemetery, 3500 Tazewell pike Knoxville, TN 37918, immediately following the service where a dove release will conclude in her honor. Flowers can be sent to Unity Mortuary, 1425 McCalla Ave. Knoxville, TN 37915.
