Naomi McGhee transitioned from this life on Tuesday 8/19/2025. She was born on November 9, 1923. She was admitted to Saint Francis Hospital on 7/15/2025 and discharged to a skilled Nursing Facility, Signature Primacy Healthcare, on 7/30/2025 where she passed away peacefully in her sleep.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Sylvia Simmons, Ernest McGhee (Husband), Brothers, Isaac, Raymond and Austin Simmons and devoted cousin Rosa Lee Walker and Ronnie Simmons Nephew. She is survived by Pamela McGhee Price, (Dr. Vincent Price) son in law. Grandsons Jarone Price and Family and Anthony Price and Family. Devoted cousin Mildred Simmons and Nephew Raymond Simmons Jr. and cousins.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Shiloh Presbyterian Church at 904 Biddle Street Knoxville TN. 37914 on Friday, August 29, 2025 from at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 A.M.
The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Omega Omega Service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
The final resting place will held at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

MY BELLS OF PRAYER AND LOVE ARE RINGING FOR PAM AND HER FAMILY. I REMEMBER "MISS MCGHEE" THAT IS WHAT HER CLASS CALLED HER. SHE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BELOVED TEACHERS AT CHARLES M. HALL SCHOOL IN ALCOA, TENNESSEE. SHE WAS MY THIRD GRADE TEACHER FROM 1955 - 1956. I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM HER. MY MOTHER, WILLIE LOUISE MCNEAR, WHO ALSO TAUGHT THIRD GRADE WERE DEAR FRIENDS, ALONG WITH MY FOURTH GRADE TEACHER, "MISS THELMA CARR." PAM AND I WERE FRIENDS ALSO. "MISS MCGHEE" HAD GREAT TASTE, STYLE, AND NATURAL TALENT. MY PRAYERS AND HEARTFELT CONDOLENCE ARE WITH THE FAMILY.
To The Family, Mrs. McGhee was one of my teachers at Maynard Elmentary School. She was a carrying teacher who always dressed nice. Although, it has been some years since elementary school, I will remembered her warm smile and for being a carrying, dedicated teacher. My prayers and condolences are with the family. May God continue to keep his loving arms around each of you.
