LEBANON - On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Shamel Leslie O’Neal (nee Rose) age, 52 of Lebanon, TN, beloved wife of Paul J. O’Neal peacefully entered eternal rest. Our Lord and Savior granted her grace to endure the battle of cancer for over 3 years. She was the oldest child born on July 3rd, to Leslie N. Rose and Pamela B. Rose in Bronx, New York in 1971.

Her melodious voice brought happiness to those around her, and she could often be found singing in the morning. Throughout her life she sang in several choirs so that she could use her voice to honor God. Shamel was passionate about traveling alongside her husband Paul and their dog Smalls, enjoying numerous eateries, lively concerts, scenic beaches, and many sporting events that helped create lifelong memories.

Condolences to the families during this difficult time.
I was saddened when I read about Shamel's passing. She was such a beautiful person and used her talents to enrich the lives of children, with her artwork, in the hallways of Fair Garden Preschool when it first opened. I remember her sweet spirit and her willingness to help in anyway she could. She supported the school and was always there for her children. Rest in peace. You will truly be missed.
