Stephanie Dionne Waters Carvin, age 48, of Knoxville, peacefully entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

She was a 1993 graduate of Austin-East High School. She was a lifelong member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Stephanie worked for Knoxville Area Transit for 8 years.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her beloved father, Maurice K. Waters, mother, Nancy Henry Waters, grandparents, James K. Waters and Guy and Ruby Henry, great-grandparents, John and Jane Black; uncles, Fredrick and James K. Waters, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted children, D’Von and JaMyra Carvin, and Jayla Sanders; loving mother, Jacqueline Waters; grandmother, Helen Waters; brothers, Jermaine Waters, Steven and Juan (Andrea) Robinson; sister, Kimberly (Wesley) Coward; nieces and nephews, Taylor Atwater, Jerron and Jordon Waters, Elijah and Nikolby Davis, Kuwade and Kuest Robinson, D’Juance and Jaya Robinson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Talik, Milani and Elijah, Jr.; uncles, Anthony Waters, Melvin (Michelle) Waters, Woodrow (Viola) Wilson and Millard Henry; aunts, Kimberly Bailey, Marquetta Waters, Nanette Scruggs, Ethel (Robert) Avery, Lula Rogers, and Jeanette Henry; devoted cousin/sister, Sharonne Underwood; devoted friend/brother, Jarrett Bush; devoted friends LaKeisha Smith, Pandora Jackson, Komma Hinch, and Robin Smith; god-grandson, Kaisyn Kpana; beloved dog MiMi, grand-dog D’usse; several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 12 noon, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 Cecil Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917, Elder Joe B. Maddox, Pastor, Elder Alfred Blount is rendering the words of comfort. The final resting place will be at the Berry Highland South Cemetery immediately following the service.

A white dove release will conclude.
