Rev. Essie May attended Hood Theological Seminary. Although her classes were long-distance, I cherished the time spent when she came to Salisbury. She is a beautiful spirit with a bright, warm smile. Praying that the Lord continue to strengthen the family for the living of days ahead. She will forever remain alive in your hearts and memories.

Essie was one of the first girls at Englewood to show kindnesses to me. We would walk home together sometimes after school. We reconnected through Carolyn ( my neighbor now) a couple years ago. We would send messages and share things. We got to visit at Thanksgiving. What a gift sitting on the porch swinging and sharing things about our lives. She send me a note a week ago telling me that she loved me. What a gift! She knew what was important. We took a picture that I treasure. I know where she is and that we will be reunited ❤️❤️ For now I'll remember her sweet smile and spirit
Sending my deepest condolences to the family. I remember our days as being part of the Mustang Basketball Booster Club, running to each other at Walmart, sending messages to each through messenger, and I'll miss your words of encouragement, that you would share through social media. Rest in heavenly peace Ms. Essie 🙏🏽. Love Yorel
My prayer is that you would sense Holy Spirit's comforting presence through each memory of your dear loved one. May each tear, each smile & every bit of laughter serve as a reminder of the bond you have held deep within the recesses of your hearts. Our prayers will continue for you. Rev. Tandra R.
