Mrs. Cathy Bess, of Blountstown, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church located at 19359 River Street in Blountstown, Florida 32424 where the Reverend Dr. C. L. Wilson is the pastor.
Interment will be in the Magnolia Cemetery located at 326 13th Street in Blountstown, Florida.
Mrs. Bess will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
Husband: Henry Bess of Blountstown, Florida
Five Daughters: Shinena Peterson of Live Oak, Florida; Angelica Bess (DeLandon) Reed, Aleshia Jackson, Latoria (Dane) Ziggler and Kandis Garrett all of Blountstown, Florida
And a host of grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Even after he retired, anytime that he had a problem with something or needed assistance with anything, he would always call Mrs. Cathy. Rest in peace, Mrs. Cathy, until we meet again.
