Deacon L.V. Batson of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Sunday, June 20, 2021 in Chautauqua Rehabilitation Nursing Facility in Defuniak Springs, Florida.
Deacon Batson was a faithful, loyal and dedicated servant and member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where he served in the capacity of Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon's Ministry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 12:00 Noon from the sanctuary of the New Hoskie Missionary Baptist Church located at 4252 Allen Street in Greenwood, Florida where the Reverend Waymond Roulhac is the pastor with Presiding Elder Willis Raines, Jr. , Presiding Elder Broderick Raines, Sr., Reverend Eddie Bowers, Reverend James Reeves, and Reverend Jeffrey Bowers, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance regrading masks and social distancing will be followed for the safety of the family and those who attend the viewing and service.

One Sister-in-Law: Lillie Garvin of Marianna, Florida
One Brother-in-Law: Robert Massaline, Sr. of Chipley, Florida
One Adopted Godson: Broderick Raines, Sr. (Angela) of Marianna, Florida
And numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
