Obituary For Eddie L. Porter

Mr. Eddie L. Porter, of Newark, New Jersey, formerly of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Friday, July 26, 2024.

Mr. Porter was a member of the Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Newark, New Jersey. He was s former member of Henshaw Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Cottondale, Florida.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Henshaw Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 2730 Glastell Street in Cottondale, Florida 32431 with Pastor Freddie Tellis, officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethlehem AME Church Cemetery located at 3100 Lovewood Road in Cottondale, Florida.

Mr. Porter will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Four Children: Jacquelyn, Angela, Tijuana, and Sharese;

Four Grandchildren: Emerald (Austin), Trey, Makeda, and Amari; h

One Brother: Roy H. Porter

Two Sisters: Iola “Tot” Rivers Bell and Lillie Mae “Teanie” Porter

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
