Mr. Ervin Long, of Greenwood, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.

Homegoing Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Greater Buckhorn Missionary Baptist Church located at 4691 Hwy 162, Marianna, Florida.

Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Long will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Wife: Diane Long of Marianna, Florida

Two Daughters: Keshia (Tanya) Long of Greenwood, Florida and Maria (Joseph) Simmons of Tallahassee, Florida

One Brother: Rev. Felix Long, Jr. of Marianna, Florida

Two Sisters: Daisy (Al) Wade and Dr. Evelyn (Dennis) Pete both of Mariana, Florida

Two Grandchildren: Joseph J. Simmons and Maleah Simmons both of Tallahassee, Florida

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and many dear friends.
