Obituary For Lawrence Holden
Mr. Lawrence Holden, of Midland City, Alabama, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at his residence.
Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 from the sanctuary of Springfield Africa Methodist Church located at 4194 Union Road in Marianna, Florida 32446 with Pastor Hollis McClendon, officiating.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Mr. Holden will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
Wife: Melody Holden of Midland City, Alabama
Four Sons: Lawrence (Bernadette) Holden; Jeffery (Marie) Holden; Marcus (De-Nichole) Holden and Harvey (Delilah) Holden
Three Daughters: Dr. Talia (Warnell) Holden-Brooks; Malika Powell and CaTonya McClindon-Ross
Two Stepsons: Kashma Jordan and Jamall Clinkscole
One Stepdaughter: Rakalla Jordan
One Daughter-in-law: Folole Holden
One Brother: Charles (Shirley) Holden
Three Sisters: Angeline (Ceasar) Long; Lavern (Philip) Pope and Queen Holden
And a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

Cousin Lawrence , you will be greatly missed. Fond memories of you visiting me and my son in California in the early 80's. You would always make sure we were doing well. May you rest in peace until we meet again.
I remember Pop and Dukes drove to Atlanta to take me to a Drs appointment. Pop drove us there. He was driving 100 mph! I was in the backseat using my own brakes afraid for all of us lol. It was that day I forbid them to drive long distance anymore...We are going to miss you. Our talks, our visits, your stories about your favorite westerns. Im also going to miss cooking for you. Now that i think about it, you may have been visiting just for the food lol. Tre, Laven, and I love you and we got Dukes. Rest in eternal peace. Your Angel girl
