Ms. Lenodice “Lee” Gray of Cottondale, Florida transitioned to ever be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Gray confessed Christ at a very young age joining and serving at Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church. She spent many years of employment at Russell Corporation in Marianna, Florida and retired at WestPoint Stevens Company in Chipley, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking for others, going to yard sales with friends and taking many fun trips to see other parts of the United States. To truly know her was to love her.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Audrey Gray and Elnora Russ, two brothers, Audrey Gray, Jr., and Tony Stanley, two sisters, Essie Mae Baldwin and Diane Barrett.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Henshaw Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 2730 Glastel Street in Cottondale, Florida 32431 where the Reverend Freddie Tellis is the pastor with the Reverend Dr. David Greene, Reverend Dr. Marvin Henderson, Minister Barbara Ann White, Reverend Blanche Godwin, Minister Lonnie Gilbert, and the Reverend Walter Barrett, III officiating.
Ms. Gray will lie in state from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
Interment will be in the Springfield African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 4194 Union Road in Marianna, Florida 32446.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
Ms. Gray leaves to cherish her precious memories, a legacy of love her loving family:
Three Children: Tolly Miller, Philander “PJ” Nealey, and Gregory “Bo” Johnson
Three Brothers: Samuel Gray (Agnes Gray), Arthur Gray (Millouise Gray), and Larry Gray (Zoraida Gray)
Three Sisters: Bernice Gray Britt (David Britt), Doretha Gray, and Dorothy Gray
Four Grandchildren: Antwan J. Hart (Skylar Frank), Joshua Hart, Acacia Hart Randle (Tevin Randle), and Perja Nealey
One great grandson: Koa’ Hart
A special friend that has been like another daughter: Shameeka Groomes
And a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and caring friends
