Mrs. Lillie Barnes, of Tallahassee, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at home in Tallahassee, Florida, with her family by her side.

Homegoing Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church located at 3996 Wintergreen Road in Greenwood, Florida.

Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Interment will be in the church Cemetery.

Mrs. Barnes will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

One Daughter: Diane Brown of Orange, New Jersey

One Nephew: Derrick Spencer of Palmetto, Georgia

And a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
