Ms. Mahershalal Javan Washington of Blountstown, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Friday, June 6, 2025 in HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
She was a veteran of the United States Army. She was also a member of the Prayer Chainers Mission of God.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11 AM until time for the service in the Old Blountstown High School Auditorium located at 17586 Main Street North in Blountstown, FL 32424.
The service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1 PM in the Old Blountstown High School located at 17586 Main Street North in Blountstown, FL 32424. with Apostle G.B. Sheard, officiating.
Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery located at 326 13th Street in Blountstown, Florida 32424 with military honors.
Mahershalal leave to cherish her memories her husband; Rufus Cargile, Jr., Grandmothers; Mary C. Durr and Mae Bell Comer, mother; Debra Durr Washington Peterson; her sons, John Davis, Jr. and Bryson Washington; her sisters, Nicole Day, Nyisha D. Davis, Bonita Simmons, and Clarissa Washington-Hover (Robert); her brothers, Cedric Simmons and Bryant Washington; as well as several nieces, nephews, one great-niece, Jacksonville brothers, many family and friends, her Jacksonville special nurse, Bryson.
