Obituary For Malcom Godwin
Mr. Malcom Godwin, of Greenwood, Florida fell asleep in deat on Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Gadsden Memorial Hospital in Quincy, Florida.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Vann Funeral Home located at 4265 Saint Andrews Street in Marianna, Florida 32448.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
Mother: Renee and husband Kent Grubbs of Mechanicsville, Maryland
Father: Marlon and wife, Tomika Godwin of Jacksonville, Florida
Four Sisters: Mya Reed and Monique Reed both of Mechanicsville, Maryland and Kiara and Xiana Godwin both of Jacksonville, Florida
Brother: Andrew Grubbs of Atlanta, Georgia
Grandmothers: Corendis Daniels of Greenwood, Florida and Rosa and husband, Roger Godwin Sr. of Marianna, Florida
Grandfather: Malcom Sheffield Sr. of Panama City, Florida
And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

Malcolm and I used to get coffee before school and talk. We'd talk about life and mostly debate religion. We were close our senior year. We drifted a bit after high school, but I've always cherished those times and still viewed him as one of my best friends in my heart. A part of that heart died with him.
