Mrs. Mary Tyre, of Blountstown, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Blountstown, Florida.
A graveside Homegoing Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM from the Magnolia Cemetery on 13th Street in Blountstown, Florida, with Pastor Andrew Davis, officiating.
Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Tyre will lie in repose at the cemetery from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
One Daughter: Taurice Edwards of Blountstown, Florida
One Son: Adarrell (Summer) Edwards of Bradenton, Florida
Three Sisters: Julie (Supt. Andrew) Davis and Arrie (Tony) Mitchell both of Blountstown and Lorene Mitchell of Bradenton, Florida
Three Brothers: Emmett (Annie) Tyre of Detroit, Michigan; Pernell Engram of Bradenton, Florida and Robert (Rhonda) Jones of Blountstown, Florida
And a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mary Jane was a very special person. I remember her laughter; she loved to laugh and could make a joke about anything, even a brick, that would have you in stitches. She was very smart, and her handwriting looked like something from the 1800s—it was so unique and beautiful. Mary Jane was also very direct and spoke her mind. She would tell you the truth, even if it hurt, but she meant no harm; her intention was always to help.
Once you met her, you never forgot her. When she entered a room, everyone took notice. I will truly miss her, but I will never forget her. My condolences to her family; it was a blessing to have known Mary Jane.
