Mrs. Minnie Sims, of Greenwood, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Pensacola, Florida.

Homegoing Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the sanctuary of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church located at 3996 Wintergreen Road in Greenwood, Florida, with Pastor Kevin Williams and Rev. L. V. Farmer, officiating.

Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Sims will lie in repose at the church from 12:00 Noon until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on
Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Four brothers: Edward (Gloria) Sims of Haines City, Florida; Ervin (Judy) Sims of Greenwood, Florida; Dennis Welch and Tammy Welch, Jr. both of Port St. Joe, Florida

Two sisters: Lillie Drayton of Greenwood, Florida and Lillie P. Sims of Pensacola, Florida

One sister-in-law: Bessie Sims of Greenwood, Florida

One Aunt: Hattie Borders of Lake Wales, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
