Obituary For Monroe Gregory Forward
Mr. Monroe Gregory Forward, known as Greg by his family and friends, of Cottondale, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his residence.
Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Second West Missionary Baptist Association located at 4110 Herring Avenue in Marianna, Florida 32448 where the Reverend Dr. Dwight Cockerham, Sr. is the moderator.
Interment will be in the New Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Cottondale, Florida.
Mr. Forward will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
One Son: Delonte Forward of Atlanta, Georgia
One Sister: Angela Forward of Cottondale, Florida
One Nephew: Jalen Redding of Cottondale, Florida
Two Uncles: Reverend Thomas (Eva) Forward of Cottondale, Florida and Isiah Forward of Virginia
Two Aunts: Margie Forward Reed of Huntsville, Alabama and Elouise Tanner of Marianna, Florida and a host of cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

It hurts to see this cousin. Greg we all shared so many amazing memories growing up. Auntie use to have you driving us all over the place. So many sleep overs laughter and fun times. You was truly a big cousin to me and I always will cherish how you all took me in as one of your own. Never one time I felt out of place. I stayed with you all more than I stayed home lol. Wow I remember when I started coming here for the summer . Shanisha stayed at your house Angie and all that hair , us up laughing all night we used to have soooo much fun . Then we all grew up and went our separate ways , I will never forget all the memories we made... Get your rest cousin give my auntie and uncle a huge hug for me ..
