Obituary For Patrick D. Herring
This the official announcement of the funeral services for the late Patrick Dorian Herring, son of the late Mr. Wesley and the late Dr. Doris Bowers Herring.
Patrick was born in Washington, D.C. where he spent his younger years. He later moved to Bascom, Florida and graduated from Malone High School. He received an AA degree from Chipola College and later attended Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, Florida.
At the time of his death, he was employed as a Revenue Specialist III for the Florida Department of Revenue in Tallahassee.
Patrick is the father of two children: Dorian and Savannah Herring of North Carolina, the brother of Greg Herring of Houston, Texas, the grandson of the late Reverend A.H. Bowers and the late Mrs. Gertrude smith Bowers of Bascom, Florida.
Three uncles: Mr. Horace Bowers of Los Angeles, California, Dr. Mirion P. Bowers of Los Angeles, California, Reverend Wallace Bowers of Tampa, Florida
One Aunt: Mrs. Glynette Bowers Brown of Bascom, Florida
He leaves to mourn his passing a host of relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

It is with great sadness that a dear friend of mine is no longer with us, however I pray that he is now gone to a place where there isn't any more suffering. I pray for his loved ones and may they be comforted and strengthened during this difficult time. R.I. P. Patrick. It was good knowing you. And I'm so glad I've gotten the chance to talk to you before your transition. Miss you my dear friend.....
