To the Curry Family,
Our hearts are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Permon Curry. We extend our heartfelted condolence and prayers to the family. May God continually dwell with the family, giving peace and strength that transcends all understanding in your hours of sorrow.
Permon and the Herring were neighbors for many years. They often spoke highly of him, praising his kindness and willingness to help others. His goats and horses were a welcome sight in the neighborhood and were a symbols of his love for the land in the quiet country way of life. His kind and gentle spirit reflected the heart of a true neighbor, and he was a cherished presence in his community.
He attended Jackson County Training School and was a classmate of my sister, Lenora. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him for his warm and friendly nature.
Permon generously shared fruit from his kumquat and pear trees with me and others. I once gave him a small jar of kumquat preserves, as he had never tasted them before. One day, the Master saw fit to pull from his garden one of His choicest rose to reside with Him.
Come to Me," the Lord whispered to my weary spirit. "Come to Me and I will give you rest." Matt. 11:28. For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands." 2 Corinthians 5:1. RIP
