Obituary For Rosa Lee Haynes Koonce

Mrs. Rosa Koonce, of Ave Maria, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at her residence.

To know her was to love her.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 12:00 Noon from the sanctuary of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 3100 Little Zion Road in Sneads, Florida 32460 where the Reverend Eddie Bowers is the pastor.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Koonce will lie in repose at the church from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her son, Nathaniel Collins Koonce, Jr. (Kathy), and her daughter, Karen Michelle Koonce Wilcox (RC); Her five grandchildren: Richard Collins Koonce, Nicole Kayovanni Anderson (Michael), Nathalie Chelsea Koonce, Spenser Christian Wilcox (Jina), Nicholas Miles Wilcox, and six great-grandchildren: Florence Alexandria Koonce, Barrett Johnathan-Rose Anderson, Baiylee Kayteecia-Meyshell Anderson, Michael John Anderson, Jr., Messiah Nicco-Cole Anderson.

Rosa is also survived by her beloved sisters, Azie Oliver (Roney), Laura Jones, and Doris Pope (Gary); a sister-in-law, Catherine Haynes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members; and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
