Obituary For Tom Dawson, Jr.

Mr. Tom Dawson Jr., of Birmingham, Alabama transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Friday, May 19, 2023, at VA Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 12:00 PM from the sanctuary of St. Rose African Methodist Episcopa Church located at 660 Holmes Court in Grand Ridge, Florida 32442 with Reverend Mark Dudley, officiating.

Interment will be in the Barrancas National Cemetery, in Pensacola, Florida on Monday, June 5, 2023.

Mr. Dawson will lie in repose at the church from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving and devoted family.

I love you pop I'm glad we was able to talk on the phone you told me how much you loved me I thank you for all your love ❤️ I will always love you you was there for me since I was a baby I cherish those memories on up to a man thank you for all the laughs and stories! I know you wanted me to come get you and go fishing, our fishing trip will have to wait just a little while now but we will be able to again amen 🙏🏽 I love you the battle is over. At ease!!! You can rest now 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💕 I'm always gonna hold these memories that I have and two Florida men that like to joke and laugh don't buss to many sides up there with god

Growing up, I knew my Grandma Rose had many siblings and Uncle Tom Cat and Uncle Bill were the two uncles I remember the most. Peace on your journey Uncle Tom, you are now with the lord and our ancestors. Fay(Rose's 1st grand baby).

Rest In Peace! You will be deeply missed. Thanks for all the wonderful stories you told me. U was a wonderful and loving💖 person.
