Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God has chosen for me, I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laught, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've now found peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Be not burdened with times of sorrow, Look for the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief, Don't lengthen your pain with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee, God wanted me now- He set me free.

Mrs. Florence McCormick of Hollywood,SC entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2024.

Mrs. McCormick leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Mary Blake, the late Frank Bryant, Henry Bryant, Malachi Matthew Bryant (Cecelia), Joseph Bryant, Emmette McCormick, Jr., Melvin McCormick, Martha M. Gutierrez (Ricardo), Debra McCormick Hoover (Chris) and Abraham McCormick, 31 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 16 great-great granchildren, a host of other family and friends.

The viewing for Mrs. McCormick will be held at Walker's Mortuary Chapel, 3407 Old Pond Road, John's Island, on Monday, October 28, 2024, 3pm until 7pm.

The Celebration of Life Service will be 11am, October 29, 2024 at International Church of God, 1560 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29407.

Interment: Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414

She has always been a very kind and gentle woman, and we loved being able to come to Monday night prayer just to hear her saying my deepest sympathy to the family and we pray God's blessing and peace upon you for a woman who has led a very Christian life.
