Jerard F. Simmons is a son of the late Jervey Simmons, Sr. and Rosetta V. Simmons, was born on April 28, 1967, in Charleston, South Carolina. He departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Roper Hospice Cottage, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. His loving memory will always be cherished by his wife Sharon Elmore, loving daughters: Latonya Ross of Brooklyn, NY, Valerie J. Simmons of Macon, GA, Krystal S. (Joshua) Drayton of Summerville, SC, and Bridgette Elmore of Charleston, SC, mother: Rosetta V. Simmons of Charleston, SC, siblings: Clinton Simmons, Jervey Simmons, Jr., and Mary J. (Louis, II) Staggers all of Charleston SC; grandchildren: Julian Jordan, Joshua Drayton, Jr., Kehlani Drayton, Zaria Drayton, Nylah Drayton, Kareem Williams, Naevi Coleman, Kamari and Ra’Yanna Robinson, and a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jerard F. Simmons Celebration of Life Service, 11am, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Walkers Mortuary Chapel of Peace 3407 Old Pond Rd, Johns Island SC 29455. Viewing will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 3pm until 7pm at Walker’s Mortuary Chapel.
