Vera Charellise Legare-Washington of, 3578 Dunmovin Drive, Johns Island, SC transitioned on Sunday, January 07, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Washington is the beloved wife of, Harold Washington, Sr., mother of Harold T. Washington, Jr., and Steven Washington, grandmother of Omari K. Washington and Samiyah Washington, godmother of Kerrigan Simmons, aunt/special mother to Kendra Powell-Simmons and other relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service, 1PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Ferry Field Missionary Baptist Church, 539 River Road, Johns Island, SC. Interment: St. Stephen AME Church Cemetery, 2480 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island, SC. Mrs. Washington will lie in state from 12 PM until the hour of service. Visitation for Mrs. Washington will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at Ferry Field Missionary Baptist Church from 6 PM to 8 PM.
