Mrs. Vernethel "Bernetta" Porter Gadsden was born January 16, 1946 in Charleston, SC. Following a period of recent health issues Mrs. Gadsden died suddenly Monday, May 31, 2021 at 5:54 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, SC. The Viewing for Mrs. Gadsden will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Walkers Mortuary Chapel, 3407 Old Pond Road, Johns Island, SC 29455. The Grave Site Service for Mrs. Gadsden will be conducted 11am, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at St. Luke A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 7308 Mizell Road, Hollywood, SC. The Rev. Dr. Herbert L.
