Mr. Michael βMikeβ Curry passed on Monday, September 8, 2025 at his home.
He was a son of the late Mrs. Jessie Caldwell Curry and the late Mr. Elmer Manning. Mike was born on November 18, 1958 in Fairfield County, South Carolina.
A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held 2 PM Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Great Falls, South Carolina. Reverend Oscar Moore, pastor and presiding, Bishop Wayne Bowser,delivering the Words of Comfort. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mike attended Great Falls High School (Class of 1976) in Great Falls, South Carolina. He was retired from Duke Energy as a Linesman and was previously employed with Safety Kleen/Clean Harbors as a Truck Driver until his health declined. Mike enjoyed doing yard work, riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, fishing, shooting his gun, cars and horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Lee Curry, Roy Curry, Charles Curry and Billy Curry; sisters, Linda Sampson, Ruby Bowser, Viola Douglas and Shirley Yarborough.
Mike leaves to cherish fond memories, his loving and devoted children, Kristie Curry of Chester, South Carolina, Lamont Boulware Curry of Chester, South Carolina, Michael (Monya) Curry of Columbia, South Carolina; his granddaughter, Kirsten (LeAndre) Bledsoe of Ilion, New York; his grandson, Tony Curry of Columbia, South Carolina; two great grandchildren, Kha'Lani and LeAndre Bledsoe III of Ilion, New York; brother, Henry Curry of Lancaster, South Carolina; sister, Estelle Curry of Chester, South Carolina; half sister, Annie Hall Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister-in law, Mrs. Marjorie Curry of Great Falls, South Carolina; two devoted friends, Lester Cunningham and Ronetta and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at the home.
A viewing will be held 2-7PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Washington funeral home in Great Falls, South Carolina.
