Mr. Walter โWalt โAvester Beaty, a son of Mrs. Leatha Rice Beaty(George) Sanders and the late Mr. Roosevelt Beaty passed on Thursday. December 4, 2025 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He celebrated his 60th birthday recently. He was born on November 22, 1965 in Winnsboro, South Carolina.
Walt was a 1985 Graduate of Great Falls High School in Great Falls, South Carolina where he played basketball and football. He was formerly employed with McGee Brothers Construction Company. He was co-owner of Spotless Detail in Chester, South Carolina. Walt enjoyed sports and being a mentor to children, He coached for the Chester YMCA, Chester Recreation Department (football, basketball and baseball. Walt coached for the Chester Middle School football and basketball athletic program. He coached for the Chester High School football and basketball athletic program. Walt coached the Chester AAU Basketball Team. He was a coach for the Chester Bulldogs Semi Professional Team. Walt's coaching career spanned over 24 years. He was honored with an award in 2014 for his dedication and sacrifice for two decades by the Chester County Community. Walt enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a former member of the Hard Riders Motorcycle Club. He attended Brooklyn-Williamsville A.M.E. Zion Church in Chester, South Carolina.
Walt was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Roosevelt Beaty, sisters, Daisy Lee Mays, Lottie Bell Robinson; brothers, David Beaty, James Lewis Beaty, Theodare Beaty, Robert Lee beaty, Rosevelt Beaty, Rosevelt Beaty, Jr., Joe Williams Beaty, Larry Rice, Travis Beaty; mother-in law, Ms. Nellie M. Gillespie; brother-in law, Robert B. Chisholm.
He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories, his wife of 40 years, Katria Michelle Beaty; three children, Shante Beaty, Deven Deshawn Beaty, Katria Danielle Beaty; his grandchild, Kinsley Ke'Oir Beaty; a child raised in the home, Lashera Mull.; his mother, Leatha Sanders and father, George Sanders; brothers, George (Rochelle) Rice, Tony Beaty, Corey (Patty) Beaty, Aberham Beaty, John (Melanor) Rice; sisters, Ossie Bee Bell, Gwendevere (Earl) Evans, Maggie (Tyrone) Roscoe, Michelle Beaty, Willie Mae Watson; brother-in law, Daryl L. Gillespie (Vicky Marshall Bennett); a special aunt, Francina Chisholm; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
