Mrs. Brenda Kay Knight of Lancaster, SC passed on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at MUSC Medical Center- Lancaster in Lancaster, SC.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held 1 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Grace Free Will Baptist Church 1616 Alpha Road, Lancaster, S.C. with Pastor Roger Anders officiating and delivering the Words of Comfort.

Mrs. Knight was a daughter of the late William Harrison Starnes and the late Margie Ree Parker Starnes. She was born February 18, 1952 in Lancaster, S.C.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, She also enjoyed puzzles, word games, and gardening.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents William H. Starnes and Margie Starnes; her brother, Tommy Starnes; her sisters, Darlene Clark and Jeanne Dasaro; her husband, Shelby Knight,

She leaves fond and loving memories, sons, Robert (Stephanie) Gilmore, Jr., William Barry(Debbie) Gilmore and Anthony Brian(Jennifer) Gilmore; sisters, Linda Beckham and Pamela Whitaker; grandchildren, Alexander Gilmore, Nicole Gilmore, Margo Gilmore, Aurora Gilmore and Ava Gilmore; great grandson, Tristan Leopard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends immediately following the service in the church's fellowship hall.

Arrangements are entrusted to Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls, SC.
