Reverend Arthur Eugene Fowler a son of the late Mr. Miles Fowler and the late Mrs. Martha B. Fowler Hefner departed this life on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at MUSC Health Columbia Center Downtown in Columbia, South Carolina. He was born June 2, 1946 in Cowpens, South Carolina.
A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Friday, June 12, 2026 at Lando Church of God in Lando, South Carolina with Pastor of the church, Pastor Andrew Flippo presiding and Pastor Edward Harris delivering the Words of Comfort. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family is receiving friends from 4-6PM Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls, South Carolina.
Reverend Fowler attended school in Chester County and further studies for certification to become an Ordained Minister. He was formerly self-employed and a retired minister from Hampton South Carolina Church of God in Hampton, South Carolina.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; his wife, Mrs. Judy Hefner Fowler; daughter, Mrs. Rhonda Fowler Fernandez; brother, Mr. Loyd Lee Fowler; sister, Mrs. Patricia Fowler Melton; father-in-law, Mr. Johnnie G. Hefner; mother-in-law, Mrs. Alda Mae S. Hefner; a special uncle, Mr. Boyd Reynolds; and four brothers-in-law, Mr. Bobby Huckbee, Mr. Robert Knight, Mr. Lefon Hood, and Mr. Johnny Melton.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his daughter, Mrs. Lisa Fowler; two grandsons, Mr. Jerry E. Fowler and Mr. Roberto D. Fernandez/Mrs. Dixie M. Gallman; one brother, Mr. Collel H. Fowler/ Mrs. Dorothy Fowler; a special nephew, Mr. Ricky Dean Fowler; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita F. Knight and Mrs. Hazel E. Huckabee; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jackie H. Hood and Mrs. Bonnie W. Fowler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

So sorry for the loss of Gene .I have alot of fond memories of Gene.Growing up in Lando families were more like family than friends though the years have separated us I still hold lots of love and memories and praying that God will reunite us all in Heaven .praying for the family ..love Leslie Lanier

Proud to say Gene is my big brother. He introduced me to my Savior, Jesus Christ. He helped me find the courage to sing God's gospel. He helped me find my calling. Until we meet again big brother. Love you and will miss you dearly.
