Obituary For Arthur Maryland Poynter

Arthur Maryland Poynter, Jr. passed away on May 14, 2021 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 34. He was born April 9, 1987 in Davidson County, Tennessee to the parents of Mary Wright and Arthur Maryland Poynter.

Arthur Jr. leaves to cherish his memories his children, La’Mya Poynter, Artavious Poynter; mother, Mary Wright; sister, Lisa (Eric) Hunter; brother, Derrick (Carmella) Blackmon; devoted nephew, Jevon Poynter; great niece, Jaliyah Poynter; devoted girlfriend, Sheniche Petway; aunts, Bessie “Louise” Poynter, Agnes Poynter, Annie Ruth Poynter, Mary Lee Gentry, Dorothy Ann Poynter and Linnie Poynter, Shirley (Howard) McLemore, Brenda Carlton, Gail Andrews; uncles, John Willie Poynter, Hardin (Sara) Poynter, Fredrick Brooks, Robert Brooks; devoted cousins, Carrissa Poynter, Latasha Watkins, a host of other cousins and friends.

*** Due to COVID-19 In order to enter the funeral home for viewing you MUST have on a mask per new regulation for the funeral home. You are responsible for supplying your own masks as well ***

Mr. Poynter will lie in state on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 1 until 5 at the funeral home.

Visitation with family Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 1 until 2 at Fowlkes Street Church Of Christ, 140 West Fowlkes Street, Franklin, Tennessee. Funeral Service, to began at 1:00 p.m.
