Obituary For Deacon James Willie Moore, Sr.
Deacon James Willie Moore, Sr. life came to an end on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the age of 82 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee. James Willie was born August 23, 1940. He was born in Williamson County, Tennessee to the parents of the Mary Smith and Joe David Moore.
James Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his children; daughter, Renee (Terry) Drummond; sons, Freddie (Theresa) Moore and James Moore, Jr.; grandchildren, Dedrick (Aaronnetta)Moore, Dedrya Moore, Cameron Moore, Tiffany Drummond, Terra Drummond, Timothy Drummond, Micah Moore, Darron Moore, Christian Moore, Titus Moore and Jadon Moore; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Dora Ann (Robert) Jackson, Ida Mae Turner, Edith Jennings and Evelyn Perkins; brother, Robert Lee (Barbara) Moore; devoted neighbors/friends, Hester Hamilton, Brenda Wade, John and Denise Sanford; nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends.
Mr. Moore will lie in state on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 12 until 5 at the funeral home.
Funeral Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Limestone Missionary Baptist Church 1613 West Main Street Franklin, Tennessee at 11:30 A.M. Reverend Andrew Secrest, officiating and Pastor Wayne McCullough, eulogist.

I just ran across his notice here. He was one of my Jr Pro football coaches back in the mid-'70's at Dairy Queen, assisting Lee Waters. I think of them periodically. Wish I had spoken to him more recently.

Mr Moore was my Jr Pro football coach. I remember one time I blocked a punt and it knocked the air out of me. Mr Moore came from Sideline and picked me up and took me all the way to the bench. Freddie his son has always been a friend and I will miss Mr Moore. Grest gentleman
