Elliott Orlandus Waters joined his heavenly father on Sunday February 22, 2026 at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN . He was born June 11, 1973 the beloved son of David Waters and Lavonia Waters.
Elliott leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Nyeesha Waters, his loving and devoted parents, David and Lavonia Waters, his precious children, Tia Caldwell, Rodrick Waters, Caleb Waters, Seth Waters, and Darien Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
Minister Waters will lie in state on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 4 until 7 at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church, 1004 Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072.
Visitation with family Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church, 1004 Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072 from 11 until 12 with funeral to follow. Elder Terry Majors, officiating and Bishop Robert Smallwood, eulogist.
Interment Greenwood North Cemetery, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072.

Words cannot express the profound sadness I have upon learning of the passing of a good man whom I met onboard the USS Guadalcanal. I remember the night you showed up to check in and I helped get you set up. The minute I met you all I could do was laugh. I said to myself, this guy is going to be hilarious. You always found a way to laugh at the most ridiculous of situations and lighten up the mood. Those were special times that I cherish. I'm glad our paths crossed.

I remember meeting you in Memphis. You extended your hand in friendship to me and my 2 Frat brothers that "if we were ever in Nashville, you got us"! A month or so later, we took you up on that and you showed us your city! We appreciate you and will miss you dearly!
In the early 90s a special brotherhood was formed aboard the naval vessel, USS Guadalcanal LPH-7, Norfolk, VA. The group consisted of Elliott Waters, Tyrone White, Reggie Jackson, Devlin Sampy, Dedric Camphor, Garth Green and Wil Greer. We are mourning the loss of our brother, E.
