Obituary For Richard Earl Mayes aka "Bo" - aka "Deacon"

Richard Earl Mayes, aka, "Bo" aka, " Deacon" passed away December 6, 2023 at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital in Shelbyville, Tennessee at the age of 66. He was born January 26, 1957 in Lewisburg, Marshall County, Tennessee to the parent of Grace Mai Mayes.

Those left behind to cherish his many memories; his daughters, Lavonia (Ryan) Sullivan, Jaleesa Mayes, Destiny (Dray) Mayes-Hendricks; sons, Richard (Samantha) Floyd, and James Floyd (Tara); 7 grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Covington, Brenda Mayes and Bernice Patton; brother-in-law Wesley Anderson; aunt, Annie Ruth Mayes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Mr. Mayes will lie in state on, December 15, 2023 from 12 until 5 at the funeral home.

Visitation with family, Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 11:00 until 12:00 at Locust Ridge Primitive Baptist Church, 4991 Murfreesboro Road Arrington, Tennessee, with funeral to began at 12:00 Elder Howard Rucker, officiating.

Interment Egypt Cemetery, Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
