Robert Brant Bousquet, 56 of Franklin, TN, passed from this life to the next on March 28, 2022 in Nashville, TN.
Brant Bousquet was born in Houston, TX on August 24, 1965. He graduated from the University of Texas-Austin (BA, Psychology) where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He earned a degree from Eastern University near Philadelphia (MS, Nonprofit Management). He also held the CFRE certification (Certified Fund-Raising Executive). He worked in the non-profit sector throughout his career—as Nashville Director for campus ministries of Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru), as Director of Development at Mercy Children’s Clinic (now Mercy Community Healthcare), as Executive Director of Hard Bargain Association, and, most recently, as Capital Campaign Officer at Battle Ground Academy. He was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church and was very involved in Rotary Club of Franklin at Breakfast and Leadership Middle Tennessee.
Brant Bousquet is preceded in death by his father, Thomas G. Bousquet, Sr., and his brother, Thomas G. Bousquet, Jr. He is survived by his wife Virginia Paul Bousquet; children Robert Bousquet and Paul Bousquet, all of Franklin, TN; Detavious Rodgers (Brittney), of Spring Hill, TN; Kiara Rodgers of Franklin, TN; five grandchildren; his mother Lynn C. Bousquet of Houston, TX; sister Katherine Bousquet Cain (Michael) of Austin, TX; nieces Kendall Bousquet of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Kelsey Bousquet of Auburn, AL; and many other important family members.
Visitation will be 5-8pm on Friday, April 1, 2022 in the Harlin Student Center at Battle Ground Academy, 336 Ernest Rice Ln, Franklin, TN 37069. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2pm at the Main Campus of Franklin First United Methodist Church at 120 Aldersgate Way, Franklin TN 37069. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are by Waters Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Brant’s friends from his Saturday morning group, family members and former students from Vanderbilt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hard Bargain Association, Battle Ground Academy’s Arvilla R. House Scholarship Fund, the African American Heritage Society of Franklin, the International Justice Mission, or a charity of your choosing

My heart goes out to Virginia, and the rest of the family in the loss of their beloved Brant. He truly was a gentle and kind man. He had an beautiful kindred spirit about him. I have known Brant for at least 20 year, such an awesome man, and always willing to help in any situation. Thank you God and family for sharing him with us.
