Robert William "Slitty" Fitzgerald life came to an end on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the age of 71 at his resident in Franklin, Tennessee. Robert was born on May 22, 1953 in Franklin, Williamson County Tennessee to the parents of Bolin Fitzgerald and Katherine N. North Fitzgerald.
He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Cynthia Fitzgerald; daughter, LaKeshia Fitzgerald; sons, Robert Fitzgerald Jr. and Chadwick (Amy) Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Jeremiah Scruggs, Keegen Scruggs Jazzlyn Sparkman and Mason Fitzgerald; sister, Mary Etta Curll; brothers, Charles Fitzgerald, and John W.(Bernice) Fitzgerald; sister-in-law, Theresa (Michael) Covington; brothers-in-law, James (Sylvia) Cunningham and John Caldwell; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Fitzgerald will lie in state on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 12 until 5 at Waters Funeral Home 1408 Columbia Ave. Franklin, Tennessee.
Visitation with family, Friday February 28, 2025 from 12:00 until 1:00 at Lynn Creek Tabernacle, 117 Fairground Street, Franklin, Tennessee with funeral to follow. Brother Ricky Cotton, eulogist.
Interment Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at , 1 P.M. Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, TN.

I want to say I did know know Slitty as well as know him with whom many people called Polly.Afer been out of High School for more than 58 years we would call each other on a regular basis.
