You were the best neighbor and friend a person could ask for. No one I have even lived next door has ever held a candle to the light you always projected. You will be missed. β€οΈ
i AM JUST NOW ABLE TO TYPE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT VICKIE'S PASSING. VICKIE AND i GO WAY BACK. SHE WAS MY FIRST BEST FRIEND AS A CHILD AND THE FIRST PERSON TO STAY OVERNIGHT WITH ME OTHER THAN MY COUSINS, AS A SMALL CHILD. SHE ALWAYS SAWSOMETHING SPECIAL IN ME AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT SHE WAS VERY SPECIAL. SHE WALKED WITH SUCH QYIET PRIDE AND GRACE. HER CONFIDENCE IN HERSELF HELPED ME TO EMBRACE MY IMPERFECTIONS. WE DID NOT ALWAYS KEEP IN TOUCH AFTER WE WERE IN OUR TWENTIES, BUT ANYTIME WE DID TALK OR HAPPENED TO BE IN EACH OTHER'S PRESCENCE, IT WAS NATURAL AND AS THOUGH NO TIME HAD PASSED. OUR BOND FORMED WHEN WE WERE TO LITTLE GIRLS AND IT WAS A SPECIAL AND UNIQUE BOND THAT WILL CONTINUE INTO THE NEXT PHASE. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO KNOW THAT VICKIE IS WITH OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR AT PEACE AND RESTING WELL. I ASKED MY HUSBAND, CLIFF, TO HELP MAKE HER FEEL AT HOME AND I KNOW THAT HE WILL DO JUST THAT. VICKIE YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART AND I WILL KEEP YOUR SWEET FAMILY IN MY PRAYERS.NOW FLY PRETTY GIRL...FLY....LISA CLAY-WASHINGTON
Condolences to all of the family. I'm so sorry for the loss of Vicky. She was always nice and kind. She smiled whenever I saw her. Sonya Hughes Campbell
My favorite memory of my aunt Vicki is when she came to visit me and my daddy one summer. She was so sweet to me and always asked me questions like what I liked to do, my favorite foods, etc. I saw her again in December 2019 and she gave me the biggest warmest hug. I can't believe that's the last time I saw her but I'm grateful for the sweet hug and warmth she gave me. That's what Aunties are for. To always be a safe warm place for you and feel loved. I know she loves me and I'm praying that God gives her the greatest most beautiful house in heaven. I love you aunt Vicki, Rest In Peace. β€οΈ

There is nothing like divine connections. I met Ms. Jackson in the Fall of 2000 at TSU. Ms. J was so many things to me. My boss/dorm director, friend, sister, mentor, and spiritual mom. Although, she did not have natural children of her own. She had several spiritual sons and daughters. It's a honor to say I was one of her spiritual daughters and her legacy continues to live on. God used Ms. J to help me come into my own identity as a woman. Certainly, Ms. J made her mark in the earth that will never be erased. She will be missed but never forgotten! You can now rest in peace Ms. J because you truly fought the good fight of faith Phil 1:6amp. Grace and peace be unto the family for my love and prayers are with y'all.
Below is the last scripture I texted Ms. J on April 24, 2021.
Proverbs 31:25:Β "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
