Quincy John McHenry is a firstborn son and native of the Golden Heart City of Fairbanks. He graduated from Austin E. Lathrop High School, attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he earned a Culinary Arts certificate in1998.
Quincy had a great love of life and living. He had a giving heart, great personality, kind nature, godly spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. Quincy loved and cared deeply for all members of his family, as well as, those he held close as friends. Quincy was a caring soul, honest, loyal, humble, and a loving hardworking man that also embraced his fellow community members. Later in life Quincy most enjoyed and took great pride in his spiritual worship, and his call to serve as a Deacon in his chosen place of worship, St John Baptist Church.
Quincy did not walk his last mile alone or in darkness. Quincy is survived by his loving family; parents, Derrick and Montean Jackson, his 2 brothers, (Quinton and Otis), his 3 sisters, (Jacqueline, Tanisha and DeAndra), his 15 nieces and nephews (Trisha, Shealynn, Jazmine, Peyton, Dakota, Quinton Jr, Daviyon, Khira, Leday, Shakarie, Adrion, Otis III, Te’onna, Jada, Marquise), and 4 great nephews and niece (KJ, Cadence, Aiyden, Messiah). He also has 2 uncles,( Johnnie and Ethan), as well as, 2 aunts, (Yvonne and Bridgett). We love and miss you son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. You fought a good fight with dignity and strength, giving your best until the end. Now it is time for you to rest. Now it is time for you to sleep. Your light will always remain and shine bright in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Quincy’s name to his religious ministry, St John Baptist Church, 802 17th Avenue, Fairbanks, Alaska, 99701, where he served as a Deacon and worshiped in faith as a man of God.
