My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the family of Alfred Lewis, Jr. It is still so hard to believe that he is no longer on this earth with us. While he was here, he made such a huge impact in the lives of so many. He was caring, loving, giving, had the biggest heart and his smile and laughter was infectious. You could never have a bad day after speaking with Alfred. He did so much for others but never wanted you to do anything for him. He worked tirelessly day and night and always gave his very best. I was often concerned for him and would just ask him to take some time for himself and rest and his response would always be the same, "I will rest when I am dead". We had many long conversations and his biggest dream was to leave a legacy for his kids so they would never have to work as hard as he did. He put many things in place and was still working on other things that he spoke of in early November. His legacy will live on in children just as he worked so hard to prepare for but his legacy will also live on in all of the lives that he touched while he was here with us. Its so hard to believe that there will be no more long talks, no more of us laughing relentlessly, I will never get to see his smile again and I will truly miss him dearly! You are forever etched in my heart. He left this earth working and enjoying the outdoors as he always did. God has now given him eternal rest. Alfred has fought the good fight, he has finished his race, he has kept the faith. Well Done my friend!
