Hi Brandon, this is a picture of your dad when he married Brenda. Jimmy Pitts, your dad and Van Simmons. I'm from Macon and we would ride home together from TSU. We traveled to FAMU, Morris Brown for football games often. We also traveled to the Byron Pop festival in 1970 with 50,000 hippies. We were all on the Omega Q line but never pledged. We decided to start our own sorority called Alfa Eta Rho International Aviation fraternity for pilots. We worked together after school in different jobs. I would crash in his dorm room some nights. One night during the winter a few football player would drag student in the snow. Paul saw them and threw a beer bottle out of the fifth floor window and hit one of them in the head. They tried to burn us out of the room that night Richard Turner your dad myself. They slept on the floor outside our door but left the next morning for practice. We also moved into an apartment our junior year. We had a wonderful time at TSU. We hung out everyday for almost 4 years. Your dad was an amazing person and a dear friend.
I am sorry for your loss. Praying for the family. Love, Callie Terry

It's hard when you get That Call!! Paul and I grew up together and have known each other for all of our lives. I grew up in the community where Paul and his family lived. My family lived right across the street from the school from which Paul attended from first grade to 12th grade, like all the rest of the blacks in McDonough (pre integration). Paul was not only a great person, but came from great stock! Praying for His Family and Friends Paul will be greatly missed and Always remembered! Your Classmates and Friend β₯οΈπͺ½πͺ½ Mary Jane

I grew up with Paul and the Hollingsworth family. We lived on Holly Smith- name after his family and Principal JF Smith. His mom was our Home Economic teacher and Mr Hub was our community handyman and barbershop . His grandmother and aunt were educators at Henry County Training School. May the peace of GODS GRACE abide with the family.
I was saddened to hear of Paul's passing ... but as a believer in the most high God,I am sure he received his "heavenly wings!"ππ TGBTG! Paul and I were classmates from 1st thru 12th grade, and were graduates from West Side High in May,1968. He was a gentleman who was well liked and respected! I pray that the love of God will cover his wife, children, and other family members in comfort and in His perfect peace!πππβ€οΈπ«
