So sorry, the previous was written by niece/cousin Janet.
From what has been written here, it is clear that her light will continue to shine through the lights that were lit from hers. She not only inspired, but infused her spirit - would that we all receive inspiration and relevance from The Lord as she did, and follow her intentional example in whatever time we have left.
Zenda, please accept my sincere condolences. While I did not know your Mom, I do know she did a wonderful job leaving you as a legacy to the world. I cherish the times I spent in training sessions/ seminars with you. Coleman Landers, A Phi A. GSBA Pres-Elect

You were the vessel of hope and guidance from God when you invited me to moved to New York City on June 10, 1973. Just like the teacher you were, you took the time to bring out the best in me and set me on a path for success. No adult had ever cared about my overall well being and social adaptation to the extent that you did. I am eternally grateful for your life and for the blessings God gave me through you. Be eternally at piece my savior, my soro, my aunt, my queen.
Condolences from the Hudgens family. Zenda, your mom was always very kind and thoughtful towards me. We offer our sympathy to you and yours. OneLove

I remember her soft spoken voice and gentle ways. As a team member with her for Vacation Bible School one year, I observed that she was creative and artistic; the children enjoyed working with her.
