In Loving Memory of Ms. Gigi

Ms. Gigi was truly an amazing woman. I had the pleasure of meeting her while working in the office at Willow Place. I'll never forget our first introduction. I said, "Hello, Ms. Corbett," and with a warm smile she replied, "Hello there, but call me Gigi. Everyone calls me Gigi." I smiled and said, "Sure."

She shared with me that she had recently undergone knee surgery and was in the healing process. Even then, she remained positive and was thankful that she was feeling much better.

As time went on, Ms. Gigi became someone I looked forward to seeing. She would stop by the office before catching the bus to one of her appointments. I enjoyed helping her schedule her hair and nail appointments, and every visit gave us an opportunity to sit and talk for a while.

Ms. Gigi was a very sharp and wise woman. She often shared little pieces of advice that have stayed with me. One thing she would always say was, "People don't need to know everything. Playing like you don't know isn't a crime. Just keep your mouth closed and keep right on going—it will all work out in the end." Those simple words carried so much wisdom.

The last time I saw her, she was vibrant, smiling, and full of life. That's how I will always remember her.

Ms. Gigi, you are truly missed. Your personality was worth more than a pot of gold, and your kindness and wisdom touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. I thank God for allowing our paths to cross. It was an honor to know you, and I will always cherish the memories we shared.

Rest peacefully, Ms. Gigi. You will never be forgotten.
