Junior please know that we mourn with you and your family and Aunty Janet's extended family wherever we stand at this time. Aunty has left with us the memory of what sharing caring and love for each other means. This is by far one of the hardest pills to swallow, but we put our trust in God that no matter what, He knows best. While Im only recently learning how to accept that we are not immortals but why can't we all just have extra time ....I'm at a loss for words feeling extremely disappointed in myself for not reconnecting sooner with "You" - now it's too late - But I have always had "You" in my heart ! "You" played a very brief but still very significant "Step Mother" role, being there for me and my younger brother Alex starting on the day we lost our mother on "Mother's Day " I was only 9 and my brother 7yrs old turning 8 just 2 days later on May 14th - Im still grieving my mother Evey Mothers Day that comes around and now losing yet in another tragic way my second Mom - I'm truly devastated- I don't deal with tragic loss very well and so it's hard to truly express myself and hard for me console other family members such as Junior, my dear cousin Sonia , Jackie and the rest of the family- I can only share in knowing what it feels like to lose a mother waaay too soon and there is no right or wrong way for processing grief especially when we are caught off guard by such a tragic event. I called her Mummy, as did my family! No relation, just out of respect because she ALWAYS engaged lovingly with such deep care and concern for us - GENUINE! When I heard the news, I was devastated! My sister called me and told me and immediately, I told my 13yr old daughter, we wept! She advised me what to eat when I was pregnant with that one and watched her grow - nothing special about us, but OH Mummy was just the dearest person. Could make us laugh despite life! Always encouraging, always smiling. 'Why yuh nuh get a basket?' We would laugh as she said it because she knew when I ran in to get just a hand full of items, I'd meander and still wind up getting the cart for the amount of groceries. I will miss her and I know that as much as I feel this loss, her son Junior and all her loved ones are impacted so much more. So, my prayers are with you all today and always. I know she loved The Lord, and He has received her home. Soon, God Almighty will enable you to remember Mummy with more joy than sorrow and until that day comes, I pray He strengthens you and comforts your sorrow.
