Betty J. Brown-Parks was born on April 9th, 1965 in Greensboro, Ga to Julia M. Johnson and Robert Lee Shelton.
Bettye was a loving, joyful, and forgiving soul whose life was rooted in her deep love for God. She had a genuine love for people and expressed it through her kindness, always offering a helping hand and uplifting words of encouragement to everyone she met. She possessed a pure and compassionate heart, guided by her unwavering faith. she always reminded others, โJesus wants us to forgive no matter what and to make sure you let people know what He has done for you.โ Even during her own times of struggle, she selflessly took on the role of a caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Bettye leaves behind her loving husband, Norman J. Parks, her mother Julia M. Johnson; her aunts Joe Helen and Willie; her fur baby, Dutch Parks; her five kids: Tamika Davis (Troy) Cummings, Charles Dunn, Shunta Brown, Malcolm Brown, Tarrence Turner; two step kids: McQuarry and Kiana Wright; eleven grandkids: Meshia, Maya, Jamiayah, Phat, Montae, Kion, Kingston, Kiy, Tj; six sisters: Tammy, Nay, Sonya Peggy, Pam, Inese; three brothers: Robert, Matthew, Jarvis; sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Jack Wingfield), Marguerite McMurray, Brenda Ford, Louise Burke, Effie Brown, Fannie Brundage; one brother in law: Noel Parks,: a host of nieces and nephews along with four special cousins: Johnny, George, Charles Eberhardt and Richard Brown.
Service will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from the Moores Chapel Baptist Church at 1:00 pm with Pastor Danny Walker, Eulogist.

It is never easy to find the words to say goodbye to your loved one, so I will say until we meet again stay as sweet as you are Bettye. You will be missed and always remembered with love and joy. Your smile and laugh will be something that I will always remember.
