Dennis Edward Nesbitt was born April 27, 1960 to the late Mrs. Beatrice Nesbitt and the late Mr. Harvey Nesbitt, Jr. in Woodville, Georgia.
At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with St. Paul Baptist Church.
Dennis was a graduate of Greene County High School (the Class of 1978) in Greensboro, Ga. and Athens Tech in Athens, Ga. Dennis then honorably served our country in the United States Navy. He served as an Air Traffic Controller at the Mayport Beach Naval Air Station in Jacksonville Fl. After his stint in the Navy, Dennis became a postal carrier in Bogart, Ga. He was a Postal Carrier until his stroke in 1995. After his stroke Dennis’s life was not easy but he made the most with what he had. He enjoyed riding on his scooter, playing the lottery and talking on the phone. He would often end his calls with “okay, bye” or “love you, boo”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by uncles Roger Latimore & Alphonza Nesbitt and his aunt Gwendolyn Nesbitt; his brother Ricky James and his sister Mildred Nesbitt White.
He leaves to mourn his passing his sister Carolyn Strong, his brothers: Harvey (Mildred “Jean”) Nesbitt III, and Rodrick Nesbitt; sister-in-law Linda and brother-in-law Kenneth; nieces and nephews: Amber, Justin (his caretaker), Cedric, Jeffrey, Rita, Divine, Ashley, & Niah, his uncle Ralph Nesbitt, aunt Essie Miller and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Praying for the Dennis family during this very difficult time. May God continue to bless you all during this time.
