It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Dontearious Lamontae Burke, who left this world on April 19, 2026, at the tender age of 23. Born on September 24, 2002, in Greensboro, Georgia, Dontearious was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him.

Dontearious, affectionately known to many as "Debo," was the cherished son of Shawana Burke (Marvel Nesbit) and Bobby Shelton Sr. From a young age, Dontearious demonstrated a vibrant and loving spirit, one that would carry him through life and touch the hearts of many. His laughter was infectious, and his presence could light up any room.

He grew up in the warm embrace of his family, alongside his brothers, Demarcus and Jamarious Burke, and his sister, Jamiria Burke. Together, they shared countless memories filled with love, laughter, and sibling camaraderie. Though Dontearious was taken from us too soon, his memory will forever live in their hearts, a constant reminder of the enduring bond of family.

Dontearious was known for his kind heart and his unwavering passion for music. He found solace and joy in melodies and rhythms, which became the soundtrack to his life. Dontearious's love for music was more than a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with the world, to express himself, and to inspire those around him.

Though he is no longer with us, Dontearious joins the ranks of his predeceased grandparents, Gloria Burke, Eddie Reid, Stella Shelton, and Bobby Shelton, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms, continuing to guide and watch over him from above.

Friends and family are invited to join us in celebrating the life of Dontearious at a service to be held on May 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Siloam Community Center. As we gather to honor his memory, we will remember the joy he brought into our lives, the love he shared, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the legacy of love and happiness that Dontearious leaves behind. His life, though brief, was filled with moments of beauty and grace, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
